Retaining Walls

No matter what the complexity of your retaining wall repair or rebuild, TPM Civil can manage the process from start to finish.

Various building materials over the years have been used to retain the earth like timber, stone, steel, concrete block and various other manmade products.

As most of the retaining walls we build these days are seen, we believe they should not only be practical but a quality feature of your property.

Let us work with you and talk through the various options we think will work best for your situation.

All of our retaining walls are designed to the current Building Code and the New Zealand standards, including the revised hazard factors for Christchurch.

Retaining Walls at Moncks Spur

Impressive Retaining Walls completed at a Moncks Spur residential home by The Pile Master.

These retaining walls not only protect the house from hillside slips but it also provides the home owner with three flat garden areas on this otherwise very steep slope.

Professional installation is required for retaining walls that are over a metre in height. These far exceeded that requirement, and needed special geotechnical engineering design prior to installation to assure the house foundations are secure into the future despite the steep slopes surrounding the house.

If you live on a steep slope and would like the peace of mind that comes with professionally installed retaining walls, please give us a call.
